What is the best and least costly to the Heat?
To my greenhouse.
Hanging heaters and heating pipes are mainly used in heating greenhouses. And, unlike the previous answer gas is used more often than oil. Oil can produce over BTU per dollar, but the factor keeping oil in units far exceeds the savings in fuel costs. Factoring also potential hazards with no leakage liquid fuel, or release into the environment from greenhouse gases should be the clear choice. As for the smoke to kill their plants, I think that will be most affected by smoke kill people. Contrary to other answers here, the type of fuel (propane gas, for example) is irrelevant if a heater is described as a ventilation device should be well ventilated. The fuel oil fumes as dangerous as propane vapors, if not more, because propane burns cleaner. I always hate to see people who've been the enactment of the fear of "propane Boogie Man" radiant tube heaters seem to be the heater of choice for many greenhouse operators, but note that generally are more expensive. Forced air heaters unit seems to be the second option, and much less expensive option. Some radiant tube heater manufacturers are making units that are mainly stainless steel greenhouses due to high humidity levels. Try to find a heating contractor who made the greenhouse facilities in their area, due to geography can play an important role in what is consumed locally.
